Although the PACP was dissolved in 2016, this website is intended to chronicle the lessons learned during the Project's 16 years of operations and provide tools for others who are willing to take up the torch of promoting civic engagement in the Portuguese American community.
We offered three tools to promote civic engagement:
- The Project’s entire campaign architecture is presented in the workbook “How to Organize Politically“.
- A guide to addressing the specific community concern regarding Portuguese language instruction is presented in the workbook “Starting Portuguese in Your School”.
- “The Final Report: A History of the Portuguese American Citizenship Project" is a comprehensive review of the Project’s origins, the development of its methodology, and the experiences of the individual communities over its 16-year span of operations. The book is available for purchase through Politics and Prose or through Amazon Kindle.

Archives
The PACP generated valuable information on political organizing in the Portuguese American community. In January 2020, we donated all of working documents and background material material to the University of Massachusetts archives.
